Don't worry...only minor sickness. I feel much better although Tuan is really sick (again). That guy has been sick like 4 times in the two months he's been here!
Darjeeling was AMAZING! I have some really great stories to tell about my three day adventure, but they would be lame on here. Sorry. Let's just say that God was really watching out for us from the first taxi ride to the train station to the available room at the same hotel we were staying at before. After the first 10 hour train ride we hopped on what is called the Toy Train (because it's tiny) to go up the mountains. This train was the one that Mothere Teresa was on when she received her "call with a call" to serve the poorest of the poor here in Kolkata. Don't worry, I didn't hear that call when I was on the train so I will be returning home in a couple of weeks. Although, there is still time....
The view from the train was outstanding! I have never seen such beautiful mountains. They reminded me a bit of the Swiss Alps, but the Himalayas definitely have their own charm.
Yes, I bought tea in Darjeeling. I need to start drinking more tea now. I wanted to hire a Sherpa, but didn't really have a reason to so I didn't do that. It would have been cool though.
Hope all is well in the states! I seriously haven't read, seen, or heard anything news related since I left.
Peace out, Corina
Prayer of Saint Francis
Lord, make me an instrument of your peace.
Where there is hatred, let me sow love;
where there is injury,pardon;
where there is doubt, faith;
where there is despair, hope;
where there is darkness, light;
and where there is sadness, joy.
O Divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek
to be consoled as to console;
to be understood as to understand;
to be loved as to love.
For it is in giving that we receive;
it is in pardoning that we are pardoned;
and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.
Amen
