Prayer of Saint Francis

Lord, make me an instrument of your peace. Where there is hatred, let me sow love; where there is injury, pardon; where there is doubt, faith; where there is despair, hope; where there is darkness, light; and where there is sadness, joy. O Divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled as to console; to be understood as to understand; to be loved as to love. For it is in giving that we receive; it is in pardoning that we are pardoned; and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life. Amen

Recovery

Sorry I didn't blog yesterday, hope nobody missed the update. Thursday was our day off, but Tuan and I thought we should go and paint for awhile. I got sick in the morning so I didn't go paint, I took the day off. Not too bad a sickness (Aunt Rita, the Immodium is great, thanks!)...I almost passed out after Tuan said I needed to go get something to eat. I had a piece of plain toast and got up to leave the restaurant just as I began to feel very dizzy and light headed. I walked outside and sat down quickly on the sidewalk before I lost it completely. I was only about 15 feet from my hotel, but had to sit for about 5 minutes to regain my strength. I stayed in bed most of the day yesterday and this morning (I took today off also). My stomach is feeling better but is still deciding whether or not to digest the granola bar I had this morning. I have to feel better by tonight because we get on a train for 12 hours to Darjeeling.

Our plans for McDonalds and a bar didn't work out the other night. Aunt Val was right, McDonalds did explode and won't reopen while we are here. Tuan was hoping to eat there a few times in the next week so he could gain back the 18 pounds he's lost since he's been here. And it turns out that there is no alcohol allowed on Independence day. All of the bars were closed and the restaurant that we tried to get beer from said we had to take it back to our hotel and not tell anyone where we got it. They said 'Today problem, tomorrow no problem'.

Well, I am feeling pretty crappy again, I've been up for about an hour. So I better get back to bed. I'll blog again in a few days after our travels.

Until then, love to you all! Peace, Corina

Corina,

I am hoping that you made your weekend trip and that you were feeling well enough to enjoy it. I hope to read an update soon ... Watching and waiting, Aunt Valerie

p.s. As for the 1st comment on this post, it appears your blog has attracted some spam. I copied and googled the first line and found the following:

Its in portuguese. It basically says:

Hello, I found your blog by google it is very interesting I liked that post. When you go by my blog, it is about personalized undershirts, samples that I pass to pace to create an undershirt in a personalized way.

This is Brazilian Portuguese, badly written.

Hi, I found your blog through Google. It's very interesting. I liked what you have posted. When you go to my blog by chance, it is about personalized t-shirts. It shows step by step how to create a very cool personalized t-shirt. See you later.

I hope you feel better. I believe a few of the Sisters are RNs so if it gets any worse be sure to speak to one of them. Their names escape me at the moment, ask Sr. Karina. I hope your travels were fun. Take Care and eat lots! Drink Lassis and eat, eat, eat!! The banana pancakes at Kasari's are amazing esp when you put raw sugar on them.
